Get ready for thrilling ‘Football Finals’ in May and June!

SuperSport viewers on DStv are set for the most thrilling time of the football season, as three major European leagues – the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A – draw to a close, while the UEFA Europa League, FA Cup, UEFA Europa Conference League, UEFA Champions League and UEFA Nations League finals will be played from May 31 to June 18.

This ‘Football Finals’ frenzy coincides with an Open Window/Tier Down period from 24 May to 22 June in which the SuperSport Football Plus channel will be temporarily available on the Compact package.

In fact, the UEFA Europa League, FA Cup and UEFA Europa Conference League finals will be simulcast on SuperSport Football Plus to ensure more football lovers than ever have the chance to witness history being made in ‘The Beautiful Game’.

The ‘Football Finals’ kicks off on Sunday 28 May with matchday 38 of the Premier League season, with the title race between Manchester City and Arsenal set to be the central issue.

Wednesday 31 May brings the final of the UEFA Europa League from the Puskas Arena Park in Budapest, Hungary, with the winners set to earn a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Saturday 3 June sees London turn sky blue and red, as Manchester City and Manchester United descend on Wembley Stadium for the FA Cup final – a first ever Manchester derby in the final of the world’s oldest knockout football competition.

Sunday 4 June will witness the conclusions of the ongoing La Liga and Serie A seasons. Barcelona and Napoli will/are already assured of their championship status in the respective leagues, but European qualification and the relegation scrap will still bring plenty of drama.

The UEFA Europa Conference League final will be held at the Fortuna Arena in Prague, Czech Republic, on the evening of Wednesday 7 June, as the continent’s third-tier competition draws to a thrilling conclusion.

European football’s premier night will be on Saturday 10 June at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey, with the final of the UEFA Champions League. The crowning of Europe’s champion club for the 2022-23 season is sure to be a grand occasion – one that only DStv subscribers will have a front row seat to.

And if all that was not enough, the UEFA Nations League follows on in the immediate aftermath, with semifinals (Netherlands v Croatia and Spain v Italy) in midweek followed by the third-place playoff and final on Sunday 18 June at ‘De Kuip’ Stadium in Rotterdam.
