DStv launches pop-up channels for customers affected by load shedding

MultiChoice is proud to announce the launch of DStv SWITCH’D ON channels, with the aim of giving DStv customers an increased opportunity to watch prime-time television in the event that they might have missed their favourite shows, due to load shedding.

This intervention will give viewers up to five times the opportunity to watch their favourite primetime shows, when the lights come back on, ensuring that DStv customers have multiple opportunities to watch their favourite titles such as The River, DiepCity, Gqerberha the Empire, Gomora and Arendsvlei.

DStv SWITCH’D ON (Channel 109) and DStv SWITCH’D ON (Channel 110) launched on Tuesday 24 January 2023. These two new channels air selected prime-time content from Mzansi Magic, Mzansi Wethu and Kyknet & Kie respectively.

DStv SWITCH’D ON and DStv SWITCH’D ON are open to South Africa and Lesotho customers. DStv customers with Explora decoders continue to view their favourite content on Catch Up and those connected to the Internet get the extended Catch Up offering which allows them to download their favourite shows to view anytime and anywhere.
