As well as hosting A Perfect Planet, Sir David Attenborough presents two documentaries on the topics of the current extinction crisis and climate change. The documentary, Attenborough’s Journey, will look at his remarkable lifetime of raising conservation awareness and appreciation of the natural world.
Also look out for repeats of on-topic documentaries 7.7 Billion People and Counting, Apocalypse Cow and The Last Igloo.
This 3-episode documentary series, narrated by Uma Thurman, aims to give us a deeper understanding of nature and our place within it. The first episode, Awakening, explores how our awareness of nature is growing and the action being taken to save it, along with examples of what happens when we act too late. Episode 2, Understanding, investigates how a deeper understanding of nature is helping us find surprising ways of healing it. And in episode 3, Changing, the show reveals how we’re learning to harness the power of nature to store carbon.
