MultiChoice signs new agreement with eMedia to carry its channels on DStv
We will continue to broadcast eTV, eNCA and the daily Afrikaans News bulletin on kykNet on DStv.
MultiChoice and eMedia have signed a new agreement to continue to broadcast eTV (194), eNCA (403) and the daily Afrikaans News bulletin on kykNet (144) on DStv. This agreement is effective from 31 May 2022.
The channels that were part of the previous agreement are eTV, eMovies, eMovies Extra, eExtra and eToonz; these channels are not part of the new agreement will no longer be available on DStv as of 31 May.
“We constantly review our channel offering on DStv. Although these four eMedia channels will no longer be available on DStv, customers still have access to a wide range of entertainment which includes 200 channels of movies, dramas, sport, kids, news, reality and so much more,” said Nyiko Shiburi, MultiChoice SA CEO.
Customers who previously watched eMovies can enjoy a variety of kid and family-friendly movies on MNet Movies 3 and 4. Highlights in June include Kung Fu Panda, Nut Job 2 – The Nutty by Nature, Rush Hour 2 and 3.
Studio Universal on channel 112 has a Monster Action weekend starting on the 3rd of June with shows like Kong: Skull Island, Jack The Giant Slayer and Pacific Rim all at 18:00pm.
The channel also has a superhero weekend with Green Lantern, Wonder Wonder, Justice League and many more starting from 19 June at 20:00pm.
Family and Access customers can look forward to the action packed KIX movie channel (114), KIX offers action fans a high-octane blend of programs including combat sports, blockbuster action movies. hit action series and cutting-edge reality shows.
Dreamworks (channel 340) has a host of exciting kids shows Dragons Rescue Riders, and All Hail King Julien. JimJam is also available on channel 310 and kids can look forward to the following other shows, namely Guess with Jess and Rainbow Ruby.
DStv is also home to several exciting local telenovelas including Gomora S1 (19:30), The River S1 (20:00), Isibaya S8 (20:30) and The Queen S3 (21:00) on Mzansi Wethu.
