Local 08 October 2021

Due to high demand, the pop-up channel has been made available for DStv customers to enjoy until Sunday, 10 October.

Woordfees TV extended until 10 October

Due to the many requests received for repeats of shows broadcast since 1 October on Woordfees TV, DStv has decided to extend the pop-up channel for a further three days. The 2021 Toyota SU Woordfees takes place throughout South Africa and Namibia from 1-7 October 2021 on DStv channel 150 and GOtv 15. A selection of the most popular programmes will now be broadcast from 8-10 October in new timeslots.

Saartjie Botha, director of the Toyota SU Woordfees and the WOW Project, is ecstatic about this development: “We have been overwhelmed by the positive response from enthusiastic and pleased viewers. The TV festival could never replace the spontaneity of being together at a traditional festival, but this model has certainly made it possible for many more people to experience the festival. Because of the limited time, we were unable to show many of our quality programmes more than once or twice, and the extra days will give many people the opportunity to experience these productions.”

The programme schedule for the extended TV festival will be available from 12:00 Thursday on woordfees.co.za . The new daily progamme will also be shared on all of the Woordfees social media platforms. here.
