Hot local series & movies on DStv, 17-23 September

In the week leading up to Heritage Day on Friday, 24 September, DStv is dishing out fantastic local series with a generous hand.

The big attraction this week is the start of S2 of local telenovela Legacy. If you thought a lot of secrets were buried in S1, S2 is ready to rattle those skeletons.

It’s also a local reality extravaganza this week on DStv, and we’ve never been prouder of our heritage. Foodies gather round because S3 of the popular reality cooking show My Kitchen Rules South Africa is ready to knock your socks off with local flavour. Dance Africa Dance pits the continent’s top dance crews against one another. DJ Zinhle: The Unexpected sees this muso, mom and businesswomen bare her soul to viewers. And there's a sizzling new episode of Temptation Island SA on Showmax.

And this week family and heritage are at the fore at the movies, too, in Foto’s Teen Die Muur, Goodbye Gogo and Umakoti Wethu.
