Where to watch the winners this awards season

Awards season 2026 has kicked off with the Critics Choice Awards on Sunday, 4 January, and the Golden Globes on Sunday, 11 January. And we’ll keep watch for Oscar nominations on Tuesday, 27 January, before the ceremony itself on Sunday, 16 March.

To help you to start your viewing year in style, we’ve rounded up all the winners so far that you can watch on DStv, along with some titles to look out for soon. So dress up in your Hollywood best, and come enjoy your red carpet moment with us.

PS: Two lifetime achievement awards were handed out at the 2026 Golden Globes: The Cecil B Demille Award went to Helen Mirren (see her in 1923 Season 1-2 on Showmax, and Mobland on DStv Stream and Showmax now). The Carol Burnett Award went to Sarah Jessica Parker (see her in And Just Like That Season 1-3 on Showmax and DStv Stream).

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning

The final film in the Mission: Impossible (MI) franchise sees Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) on a mission to stop The Entity, a rogue AI system. Durban-born stunt coordinator Wade Eastwood pulled out all the stops, designing a series of death-defying stunts including a spectacular biplane and burning parachute sequence set and filmed in South Africa, and a sunken submarine stunt under polar ice that left us breathless.

Sinners

In Ryan Coogler’s vampire horror blockbuster, identical twins (Michael B Jordan) return to their Mississippi hometown in 1932 to start a music venue with their cousin Sammie (Miles Caton). But Irish-immigrant vampire Remmick (Jack O’Connell) lures the townsfolk with promises of freedom from persecution.

The Naked Gun

Action comedy sequel to the 1980s film franchise. Lieutenant Frank Drebin Jr (Liam Neeson) of the LAPD Police Squad has inherited his dad Frank Drebin Sr’s (the late Leslie Nielsen) lucky but accident-prone approach to policing. His latest case has him investigating the fatal car accident that led to the death of software engineer Simon Davenport, which means trouble for Simon’s sister Beth (Pamela Anderson), and his boss, Richard Cane (Danny Huston).

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy

Bridget (Renée Zellweger), now a 50-something widowed mother of two, is still every bit as chaotic and charming as she was in her 20s. As she blunders through “perfect” motherhood and re-entering the workforce, two potential new loves arrive in the form of 29-year-old dating app-hookup and park ranger Roxster (Leo Woodall) and her 10-year-old son Billy’s (Casper Knopf) staid science teacher, Scott Walliker (Chiwetel Ejiofor).

Hacks

Comedy about comedy. After Ava (Hannah Einbinder) blackmailed her ex-boss, veteran comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart), into making her head writer on Deborah’s talk show, Late Night, their power struggle bleeds into the writers' room and publicity tours, while rival talk shows compete to land the best guests.

Awards: Critics Choice Best Actress in a Comedy series – Jean Smart. Golden Globe Best Female Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy, Jean Smart. Hacks also won two Emmys.

The Pitt

Medical drama. 15 episodes take place in “real-time” during one day in a hospital emergency room, where Dr Michael "Robby" Robinavitch (former ER star Noah Wyle) welcomes four newcomers to the staff.

Awards: Critics Choice Best Drama Series; Best Actor in a Drama Series – Noah Wyle; Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series – Katherine LaNasa. Golden Globe Best Television Series – Drama; Best Male Actor in a Television Series – Drama, Noah Wyle. The Pitt won five Emmys, including Outstanding Drama Series.

All Her Fault

If you love Big Little Lies, don’t miss this adaptation of Andrea Mara's bestselling thriller. When Marissa (Succession’s Sarah Snook) arrives to collect her five-year-old son Milo (Duke McCloud) from his first playdate, the woman who answers the door doesn't have Milo, because she’s not his friend's mom, Jenny (Dakota Fanning). Milo’s disappearance soon causes an uproar in Chicago’s upper crust.

Awards: Critics Choice Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television – Sarah Snook.

Hamnet

Chloé Zhao, who won Best Director for Nomadland in 2020, adapted and directed this film based on Maggie O'Farrell’s 2020 novel – which centres on the marriage between Agnes Hathaway (Jessie Buckley) and playwright William Shakespeare (Paul Mescal), and explores how the death of their 11-year-old son Hamnet (Jacobi Jupe) impacted their relationship, and his work.

Awards: Critics Choice Best Actress, Jessie Buckley. Golden Globe Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama, Jessie Buckley; Best Motion Picture – Drama.

Marty Supreme

Sports comedy-drama inspired by the life of table tennis player Marty Reisman (Timothée Chalamet). In the 1950s, Marty works as a New York City shoe salesman while competing on the pro table tennis circuit before stealing to pay his way to the British Open, and embarking on a series of schemes and seductions with his BFF, Wally (Tyler the Creator).

Awards: Critics Choice Best Actor, Timothée Chalamet. Golden Globe Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Timothée Chalamet.
