Some of our favourite shows about growing up return to DStv Compact Plus this August – including David Makes Man, which introduces the adult version of David, as well as Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens.

Last season we saw brilliant teenager David trying to survive growing up in poverty. As S2 begins, we meet the adult David (Kwame Patterson), and see the impact that his upbringing has had on him and his family.

A comedy based on writer Awkwafina’s (Crazy Rich Asians) experiences growing up in Queens, New York. As S2 begins, Nora is 27 and back living at home, and we’ll meet the 8-year-old version of her dad, Wally.

Host Steve Harvey pits celebrity teams against each other in this family game show. This season’s guests include both sets of Queer Eye guys, RuPaul’s Drag Race stars, the Mixed-ish cast and the RHOBH cast.
