Actor Chris Hemsworth takes us along as he and his father Craig embark on a trip down memory lane together. Craig has Alzheimer’s disease, and Chris is hoping that visiting key places from Craig’s past will help him to reinforce his memory and support his brain health. In the course of their journey, Chris reveals what current research shows about actions we can take to slow cognitive decline, and how love, community and nostalgia play a role in staying mentally fit.

Kokkedoor: Son & See

Recipes connect generations to generation like a golden thread. Judges Herman Lensing and Yolani Abrahams have invited eight teams of home cooks with an age gap of at least 20 years to join them in the Kokkedoor kitchen for a celebration of heart and heritage over eight episodes. Look out for Hanna, the owner of the Kamdebo Padstal, model Reuven-Jon Kadalie, and retired nurse Marianne du Plessis, whose experience includes running a field kitchen at the AfrikaBurn festival.

Original Gangsters with Sean Bean

Game of Thrones actor Sean Bean leads us into the world of some of history’s most memorable villains – the real Peaky Blinders, Al Capone, Stephanie St Clair: the Queen of Harlem, the Kray Twins, and “Gentleman Gangster” Billy Hill. Incidents that led to their notoriety are brought to the screen via reenactments, while interviews with historical experts and people who knew them personally add information about their activities, the social situations they exploited, and their psychology.

The Serial Killer’s Apprentice

Dr Katherine Ramsland interviews Elmer Wayne Henley, now the sole survivor of serial killer Dean Corll, nicknamed The Candyman Killer. Elmer’s colleague, David Owen Brooks, introduced him to Dean’s moneymaking “scheme” in which Elmer and David would pick up hitchhikers and take them to Dean, who claimed he’d then send the young men on to California, where they’d be working in rich people’s houses. Instead Elmer and David’s “recruitment” fees were blood money for Dean’s victims.

This is not your tea and crumpets cricket! The Proteas will be going all-out as they wrap up this leg of the 2025-2027 ICC World Test Championship. The tour has seen Simon Harmer take his 1000th first-class wicket, Aiden Markram cross the 3000-run mark, and batter Tony de Zorzi become our King of Spin in the Test series, which also saw South Africa win their second Test against Pakistan for the first time in 18 years.
