Lisa Rossouw (Diaan Lawrenson, with Anya Human as the younger Lisa) is minding her own business, running her pretty tea garden in Paradysbos when she’s not tending to her perfect husband Dawid (Ivan Zimmermann) and son. Then the De Klerks crash their car in front of her garden and out steps Lisa’s long-lost friend Henriëtte (Tinarie van Wyk Loots, with Nicola Nothnagel as the younger Henriëtte) after 27 years of silence. Tyler Perry's The Oval

Last season ended with a guns-blazing shootout at the White House between rival staffers representing US President Hunter Franklin (Ed Quinn), and First Lady Victoria Franklin (Kron Moore). Now we’re right back in the action as residence staff supervisor Priscilla Owens (Taja V Simpson) tries to get Hunter to leave the building with her as he wrestles with a shocking medical diagnosis. South African dancer Johannes Radebe and judge Motsi Mabuse are back for the 2025 season! Johannes has been partnered with Doctor Who’s Alex Kingston, and we have a horde of celebs, including actress and model Ellie Goldstein, who was the spokeswoman for the Down Syndrome Barbie; former England rugby captain Chris Robshaw; Love Island S3 winner Amber Davies; TikTok and YouTube star George Arthur Clarke of The Useless Hotline; RuPaul’s Drag Race S6 finalist La Voix; and The Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison.

Bake Off: The Professionals Season 7

Calling all tarts and crumpets! Twelve teams from top hotels, restaurants and small businesses are competing to be crowned best patisserie team in Britain over the next five weeks. Stacey Solomon replaces Tom Allen as co-host to Liam Charles this season, with challenges set by pâtissier experts Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden. Look out for ancient mythology showstoppers, towering trifles, edible Mont Blanc mountains, the dreaded chocolate week, a pastry Les Misérables, and a Jurassic World edible tale scene.

We couldn’t be in more delightful company as British rap star Tinie Tempah takes us to visit homeowners who’ve built exciting new additions to their properties. We’ll see everything from a ski-slope roof, to a mega-basement complete with swimming pool and grand staircase, to a blend of ancient and modern in a cottage from the 1600s, and a clever transition using an arched window that takes us from inside a home built in the 1930s, into its garden.

Great African Crimes with Mandy Wiener

With two crimes to linger over, and a journalist of the calibre of Mandy Wiener on the case, we’re in for a deep dive into seldom-explored South African stories. This season, Mandy visits crime scenes and cracks open historical records to explore the case of Maria Mouton, the only Huguenot woman put to death for murder in the Cape Colony during the 1700s. And we find out how South Africa’s first-documented serial killer, Pierre Basson, killed for insurance cash.

Schuster

In August 2025, Leon Schuster received a Silwerskerm Lifetime Achievement Award, recognising his contribution to our entertainment industry. “Leon Schuster is a national treasure and probably, after Madiba, the most well-known South African across generations,” says Rian van Heerden, the producer of this five-part documentary. Rian explores Leon’s life, from his childhood in Bloemfontein, to his hit movies, to his health struggles. And Leon reflects on success, as well as on mistakes he made in his personal and professional life.

ICC World Test Championship 2025-27

After a one-off T20 International against Namibia in Windhoek, the Proteas will be off to Pakistan to defend their ICC World Test Championship title in Lahore and Rawalpindi. With Temba Bavuma recovering from calf strain, David Miller will lead the squad for the T20I games in Pakistan, while Dafabet Warriors’ Matthew Breetzke takes charge for the ODI series. It’s exciting enough to bring Quinton de Kock out of retirement!
