This July, DStv has already brought subscribers Wicked and Sonic The Hedgehog, two of the 10 biggest blockbusters of last year, as well as double 2025 Emmy nominee Poker Face, Tom Hardy hit MobLand, 2025 Critics Choice Best Comedy nominee St Denis Medical and Best Actress nominee Outlander, and a new season of Silwerskerm winner Magda Louw.

But DStv isn’t slowing down and has more on the way to keep you snuggled in front of the TV for the rest of the month.

Giants

Giants takes you deep inside the lives of players from one of South Africa’s most iconic football clubs, Orlando Pirates. The Supersport Original documentary is produced by T+W, the award-winning creators of Chasing The Sun and the International Emmy nominee Two Sides. Goal-scoring machine Tshegofatso Mabasa, Zakhele Lepasa, and rising star Thalente Mbatha all feature prominently, with the documentary also exploring what really happened with Monnapule Saleng.

Big Brother Naija

Big Brother Naija, Africa’s most-loved reality show, promises 10 weeks of captivating drama, strategic gameplay, and unparalleled entertainment, culminating in the grand finale on Sunday, 5 October 2025. Gesels

Fresh from hosting The Mommy Club: Van Die Hoofstad reunion on Showmax, Leandie du Randt is back on DStv for a fifth season of Gesels. Guests include two mothers who have had to deal with the death of their children; writer Riette Rust, talking about her husband’s suicide. Expert advice will come from Moves & Mimosas’ Marika Opperman on how to feel comfortable in front of the cameras; food editor and writer Herman Lensing on braaing; gynaecologist Dr Celesté van Drünick on women’s health; and the experts at Lamelle on skincare.

Hurricane Katrina: Race Against Time

This landmark documentary series arrives in time to mark the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina in August 2025.

Homecoming

Homecoming follows Zethu Hlongwane, played by Mpume "Six" Nyamane (Unmarried), a straight-A medical graduate hoping to become one of the country’s few Black female surgeons. When things don’t turn out how she had hoped, with no job or placement, she is forced to return to the village she left behind. There Zethu finds herself at the crossroads of two worlds, that of Western medicine and traditional healing, when she meets Sifiso Kubheka, played by award-winning actor Thembinkosi Mthembu (Shaka iLembe, The River). Homecoming replaces Sibongile & The Dlaminis.

Bad Girls Bootcamp

Once a good girl goes bad, is she gone forever? The reality shows follows a group of bad girls who go on a journey of self-discovery at a life-changing boot camp. The Mzansi Wethu reality series is produced by Portia Hlubi’s Milk & Honey TV.

FBI: Most Wanted

FBI: Most Wanted is a fast-paced drama about the FBI’s Fugitive Task Force, who track down the world’s most wanted criminals. The sixth and final season has just been nominated for two Emmys for its stunts. The cast includes Roxy Sternberg as special agent Sheryll Barnes, Golden Globe winner Dylan McDermott (The Practice) and Oscar nominee Keisha Castle-Hughes (Whale Rider).
