1. Coming soon: Ngicel'ivisa

Whoo, look who just got iVisa to step out on their relationship! DJ and TV presenter Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock hosts this daring reality series, which puts committed couples to the test. One partner pumps the brakes on a big step like moving in together or getting married, so that they can revisit a previous relationship and make sure that the flame is well and truly snuffed out. Welcome to the mediation room! Series host and “intake clerk” Alphi Mkhwanazi guides real people who’re bringing small claims cases (involving any amount up to R20 000) of unpaid debts or broken contracts to Advocate Petronella Nkosi. Advocate Nkosi will review the evidence, determine who is at fault, and how to proceed. At the end of each episode, the Commissioner will offer final legal advice and insight to resolve the dispute neatly and clearly.

Skin doing you in? Thabang Molefi, founder of The Roots Health Centre (a wellness and beauty spa), transforms lives by treating conditions that affect her clients’ physical appearance and self-esteem. Thabang studied at the Indigenous Medicinal Plants Training College in Khayelitsha as well as taking a LifeLine counselling course. She offers holistic healing (provided for free in this series) through compassionate care, herbal remedies, diet, and alternative therapies including colon hydrotherapy and a “detox” machine.

5. Coming soon: Ngishade Wrong

6. Isikhumbuzo

When a loved one has died but the family doesn’t know where they were actually buried, spiritual medium Tebogo Mfete and the Isikhumbuzo team are here to help. After listening to the family’s stories, Tebogo will accompany them to the burial places where they believe someone could be, and he will open himself to messages from the spirit world to find out how the loved one was buried, and what needs to be done for their spirit to find rest.

7. Lekunutu 

It’s time to let go of that big secret that’s undermining your relationships with friends and family. Host Ntombi Ngcobo-Mzolo listens with an open mind as people reveal what’s weighing on them, and she helps guide them to the next step. This season we meet Maria from Tsakane, who’s been living with trauma since 2010, when a man confessed that she had been drugged and gang raped in 2007. Now she wants to confront her ex-boyfriend for drugging her.

8. 1000-lb Roomies

What’s it like living in a body that feels as if it’s out of your control? Step inside their shoes as larger-than-life roommates Nesha and Jaz take their next steps on the road to living their best lives. Witness their humour and perseverance as they tackle their daily tasks, and their determined efforts to raise Jaz’s autistic nine-year-old daughter, Nana, with love and care. Nesha and Jaz also reflect on the roots of their troubled relationship with food.

9. Umakhelwane

Actress and troubleshooter Soso Rungqu steps in to solve people’s problems with their neighbours – like Mary from Tsakene whose neighbours sings at her and insults her whenever she steps out of her house, or a group of people in Daveyton who’ve had enough of their noisy neighbour, who runs a scrapyard that attracts criminals who’re trying to get rid of what they’ve stolen. A kind word might do the trick, but sometimes Soso’s bouncers have to rush her to safety!

10. Coming soon: Kwanele Bazal!
