1. Find more movies featuring your favourite actors

Want to see more from your favourite Hollywood stars or directors? The new Cast and Crew feature makes it simple:

• Open a title on DStv Stream.
• Scroll down to the Cast and Crew section under the synopsis.
• Click on an actor or director’s name.
• Instantly see all other available titles featuring them.
• Tip: Use this to build your My Stuff watchlist with similar content you’ll enjoy.

2. Enable subtitles for clearer dialogues

Watching a movie in English but struggling to hear over background noise? Activate subtitles easily:

• Open the Settings menu.
• Select Subtitles and toggle them on.
• Everything the actors say will appear at the bottom of your screen.

Tip: This is especially useful for action-packed films where dialogue can be hard to hear over background sound.

3. Prevent network interruptions with connection alerts

Losing connection mid-episode can be frustrating. DStv Stream now monitors tvOS and Android TV connections and alerts you when your network is unstable.

• If your connection weakens, you’ll see a pop-up warning.
• Check your Wi-Fi or switch to mobile data before the stream drops.

Tip: Restart your router or move closer to your Wi-Fi signal for a smoother experience.

4. More streaming features you might have missed

DStv Stream also recently introduced several additional features:

• Cloud PVR storage – Store and access more content to watch later.
• Reverse EPG – Rewind live TV by up to 24 hours on selected channels if you missed something.
• Watch from start – Jump back to the beginning of a show with a single click.
