The unusual scheduling of the Emmy Awards this year follows the 75th edition, which took place in January 2024, celebrating the best shows of the 2022/23 season. This shift was due to the 2023 Hollywood labour disputes involving writers and actors. The upcoming 76th edition will spotlight the finest television achievements from the 2023/24 season, ensuring that the most deserving shows and talents are recognized for their contributions.
Hosting the ceremony will be the Emmy Award-winning father-son duo, Eugene Levy and Dan Levy. Eugene, a Canadian comedy legend, and Dan, a leading actor, director, and producer, will make history as the first father and son to co-host the event. Viewers can look forward to seeing their favourite shows and actors, such as Curb Your Enthusiasm, Fargo, and True Detective: Night Country, vying for top honours. These acclaimed titles are available for viewing on DStv Catch Up, DStv Stream, and Showmax, making it easy to catch all the action. Don’t miss the 76th Emmy Awards—watch the Emmy Awards on DStv and enjoy the excitement live or during the prime-time rebroadcast.
The ceremony will also be available for streaming on DStv Stream, and fans can catch up on all the highlights via DStv Catch Up.
