kykNET's Die Brug nominated for an Emmy Award

The South African adaptation of this global reality format was a hit with viewers, featuring stunning natural scenery, creative cinematography, and gripping narration by Neil Sandilands. Waldimar Pelser, M-Net’s Director of Premium Channels, credits kykNET's commissioning producer Marguerite Albrecht for bringing the format to South Africa. The local version, produced by Red Pepper, was filmed near Swellendam and will return for a second season in 2025. Nomsa Philiso, MultiChoice Group’s CEO of General Entertainment, praised the team for delivering a show that stands alongside the best international versions.
